The Verification Checklist
- Touch targets: every link and button is at least 44×44 px (exceeds WCAG 2.5.8 Target Size).
- 9:1 Double-Contrast Guard: all body and heading text keeps at least a 9:1 contrast ratio, more than double the 4.5:1 AA minimum.
- Keyboard operability: every control can be reached with Tab and shows a visible focus outline.
- Live regions: status messages announce through aria-live="polite" without moving focus.
- Zero decorative emojis: plain text labels such as VERIFIED, •, and → replace pictographs.
- Voice switching: every Spanish block carries lang="es" so screen readers switch to a Spanish voice.
Legal Alignment
ADA Title II requires public institutions to make web content accessible, with WCAG 2.1 AA named as the technical standard. Section 508 applies the same WCAG success criteria to federally funded programs. EXW pages target WCAG 2.2 AA so they exceed both.
